BOARDS & COMMISSIONS
There are many opportunities to take an active role in your local government. Residents help shape the future of our community by serving in advisory capacities to the Lacey City Council. The Board of Park Commissioners, Library Board, and Historical Commission also include opportunities for student representatives.
Consider attending one or more meetings of the board or commission of your choice. Members will welcome your presence and you will gain a first-hand understanding of how residents can make a difference.
Attend a Board or Commission Meeting
Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency and to comply with the Governor's Proclamation 20-28, Council Board and Commission meetings will be conducted remotely, not in person. The public may attend the meetings by watching live through Zoom, listen to a meeting via telephone, or watch the meeting on Lacey's YouTube Channel. The Zoom link and telephone number will be available on each meeting agenda. Agendas will be posted on the City's website the Friday before each meeting.
The City of Lacey provides reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities. To request an accommodation or written materials in an alternate format, contact the City Clerk at least seventy-two (72) hours before the meeting to discuss any necessary accommodations. You can reach the City Clerk by phone (360) 486-8704 or email email@example.com. For vision or hearing impaired services contact the Washington State Relay Service at 7-1-1 or 1-800-833-6384.
If you are interested in serving, please fill out the online application, or contact the City Manager's Office at (360) 413-4387.
