2020-21 Compassionate Community Project: Lacey's Food Pantry Project
Now, more than ever, we need to take care of each other and our community. Lacey has many organizations and people who do amazing things that make it a great place to live, work, and play. To encourage these efforts, each year the City and our Compassionate Community Partners
— North Thurston Public Schools
(NTPS) and Lacey South Sound Chamber
— adopt a project to support by fundraising.
The 4th Annual Compassionate Community Project benefits Lacey's Food Bank Pantry project, the final phase of the Thurston County Food Bank's new Lacey site. This year’s project kicked off on World Food Day — Friday, October 16 — with a fundraising goal of $100,000.
Each Partner will have opportunities for the community to participate, including adding a donation when paying your City utility bill, contributing to a NTPS coin drive, and more.
