TEEN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Parks and Recreation Department offers an wide array of programs for teens and youth, from high adventure in the backcountry to summer lunches with organized playground activities. From preschoolers to highschoolers, we've got a perfect activity.
2021 Counselor-In-Training Program / C.I.T. | 13 – 16 yrs
Don’t miss out on this beneficial opportunity! Candidates for this program will need to apply, interview, and be selected to participate. Teens chosen for the program will complete 22 hours of classroom training to become certified as a Level I C.I.T. Once trained and certified as a Level I C.I.T., teens complete 1 week of on-the-job training at the Summer Day Camps (you choose the dates/weeks). Successful completion of this program results in Level II: C.I.T. Certification. This is an excellent way to obtain training, certification, and on-the-job work experience.
Level I Certification (Training date/time details are in application packet)
Level II Certification (1 week on the job experience June 28 – Aug. 20)
